Dear Parents and Carers, Pupils and Colleagues

Welcome back to Term 4 at All Saints.

The events that continue to take place in Ukraine have no doubt saddened and upset us all.

Pupils have engaged very sensitively with the situation through time in tutor and assemblies this week. I will be setting out the appeal(s) that we will be supporting next week.  This work will be led by pupils. I also hope that you will join with me in a prayer for the situation and that peace would be found as soon as possible.

Although it is a “key change”, I would now like to turn to brighter news from this week:

Principal’s Breakfast

Well done to everyone invited to Principal’s Breakfast this week. This was unfortunately delayed due to the weather before half term but it was out biggest yet! Thank you so much to everyone for attending every day, working hard and living out our values.

Extra Curricular Events

It has been a busy week on this front this week with visits to All Saints Church for Years 7, 8 & 9 (well done everyone for your conduct); a Year 10 Basketball game (won by a comfortable margin) and a Year 9 Pancake Race!

Coming up next week we have a Sailing Rewards Visit and the week after a Les Mis Theatre visit.

Thank you to everyone who expressed an interest in the Cornwall visit – this is to develop spirituality and reflection. At the moment, we would need another 4 or 5 pupils to do this to make it viable. Please complete the form online having read the letter that is on our website.

Information Evenings Next Week

Next week, we have the following Information Evenings:

Monday: Y9 & Y10

Tuesday: Y7 & Y8

Letters are on the website

These will be held onsite in the Hall and we look forward to welcoming you to the site again

Lockdown Drill

Thank you to those of you who contacted us about this. Please reassure your children that this is not related to events in Europe but is part of our standard planning procedures. Pupils are well drilled on fire evacuations and we will practice this drill sensitively on Friday next week

Satchel One

Please do remember to sign onto Satchel One as parents / carers.

This is the key way to track your child’s attendance, achievement and behaviour points

Finally, please can I take this opportunity to wish you all a restful weekend. Things are thrown into perspective at times like this and I hope you are able to spend quality time with those you value most deeply

God bless you all

John Cornish, Principal
