Dear Parents and Carers
With Friday upon us once more it is time for a quick round up of events at All Saints this week!
Events this week
There have been so many great events this week it has been hard to keep up – please do view our social media feeds! In summary:
- Year 7 met the Mayor of Weymouth
- Year 7 & Year 8 boys took part in Basketball fixtures
- Year 9 took part in an online talk with a former pupil who now works for the RAF
- We have made available an opportunity for pupils wishing to move into medical professionals to take part in Virtual Work Experience
- Year 9 girls played in a local area football tournament
- Year 9 also had Parent Consultation Evening – thank you to everyone who attended; please contact us if you weren’t able to!
- Year 11 have been given their Mock Exam Timetables for after Half Term
Thank you to pupils and staff for offering and taking part in such a great range of events
Looking ahead
- The ski trip is leaving on Saturday – please follow it on Twitter – Miss Cousens has sent details
- I have sent a letter regarding the Industrial Action on Wednesday next week – please check our website for this
- We have a Year 11 visit going to Oxford University and Museum on Tuesday
- Year 11 pupils also have another Walking Talking Mock in English and Maths – I know the exam pressure is on, but the hard yards now will be worth it in the summer!
- We have Fraser Photography coming into school to do group shots for Year 7 & Year 11 on Thursday 9th Feb
- Year 8 have a PSHE Options and Choices Event on Friday 10th Feb
I hope this serves as a useful reminder of things on the horizon.
Thank you all also for your support with attendance -this is definitely improving and I would love to see if rise another couple of percentage points this year.
When children are in school, they can learn and make progress!
Wishing you all the very best for a lovely weekend
Kind Regards
John Cornish
