Dear Parents and Carers
It has been a thoroughly enjoyable and very busy week – I hope your child has enjoyed it!
This week
A very short summary of some of the “life to the full” that we have been enjoying this week is given below:
- Year 11 completed their exams and said goodbye in their Leavers Assembly – this was a really special occasion
- We welcomed new Year 6 pupils to the school for an Information Evening on Wednesday – great to meet you all!
- Our Active Club pupils finished their Windsurfers course in some fabulous weather!
- Year 7 – 9 continue with their End of Year Assessments
- Year 10 began their mock exams
- Well done to everyone taking part in our PRIDE celebrations today – a great way to finish the week
Pupils have gone above and beyond this week and ever increasing amounts of events that we run are led by our pupils.
Please check our social media feed for some pictures!
Coming up…
Events continue apace next week:
- Year 10 exams continue. These have begun positively; a separate letter will follow over the weekend
- Boleh Sailing. This takes place for a small group of pupils on Monday and Tuesday – we have written under separate cover on this to pupils taking part
- Year 5 visits. These take place on Tuesday and Wednesday
- PGL Visit Drop In. This takes place on Tuesday at 3:30pm
- Awards Evening. Wednesday 28 June. Please complete the form in the letter previously sent to invited pupils
- MFL! Our Paris visit leaves on Thursday 29 June
- INSET DAY – we are closed to all pupils next Friday 30 June
Please also be aware that the NEU has informed government and schools of further Industrial Action on 5 & 7 July. I will review staffing levels and send a form next week for this.
Also we have Year 10 going to Weymouth College on 3 July for a Careers College Day.
Finally
Thank you everyone for your support with the basics – equipment, attendance, attitudes to staff and other pupils and, of course, uniform. Thank you for the work ongoing regarding skirts – we must get this right this term so we are in the best possible place for September
Wishing you all a restful and positive weekend. God bless!
