Good evening everyone

Welcome to a brief round up of key events this week and a look ahead to next – just one week to go in what has been a very busy year!

Hot Weather Next Week

Pupils will be permitted to wear their PE kit on Monday and Tuesday next week.

This is in light of the update from the MET office and also in official guidance for Headteachers that I have received this afternoon from the DFE.

Pupils should not wear branded sports kit.

Events this week

We have had some fantastic events this week including Sports Day, the Summer Showcase, Year 8 Rewards Assembly, a History trip, visits from K9 Deployment and much more!

We also said ‘Goodbye’ to our World Challenge pupils who have now landed safely in Nepal for their expedition.

Please do take a moment to read our social media feed and to keep up to date with the life of All Saints.

Living out our values

It has been fantastic to see so many pupils involved this week that I am a little disappointed to have to mention some less positive issues, namely pupil language and damage to our pupil toilets. It is a great shame that a small minority of pupils either talk with staff and other pupils in a disrespectful way or cause problems for others in the most basic way by vandalising toilets. This must stop.

Please can I ask for the support of all  parents in making sure that a message is given this week about these two things so that next week is a better week. I appreciate everyone is very hot and tired, but it is also a time for cool heads and stepping away from, rather than towards, any possible problems. Staff are also on hand to provide support.

Events next week

Next week, all other year groups will have a Rewards Assembly to commend them for their work this year.

Pupils in Year 8 leave for PGL and the Nepal Expedition continues.

Please remember that we will finish at 1.45 pm on Friday

Thank you everyone for your continued support of the school – let’s continue to push on for a fantastic final week

God bless you all!
