Dear Parents and Carers, Pupils and Staff
I trust this weekly update finds you well and that you are all healthy and safe.
Thank you to everyone for your with in supporting the remote work scenario this week.
1 COVID 19
Staffing has been very challenging this week with COVID cases returning in number.
I have written with full details already but to recap… Year 8 will work remotely on Monday next week. We will then make a decision on a daily basis as staff return from isolation. Please monitor your emails and the website / social media feeds carefully.
2 Events this week
Well done to pupils this week for all of your positive engagement.
The Year 10 Basketball Team continue with their winning streak with a win against Budmouth.
There was also a very well received Sailing Rewards trip for Year 9 & 10 albeit in chilly conditions
I was also very pleased to see so many pupils being recognised and rewarded as “Pupils of the Week” this week for various positive contributions.
3 Information Evenings
Thank you to those of you who were able to attend these last week.
We are uploading these to year group specific sites on our website shortly; please see below for video recordings of Year 8 & Year 7 below.

4 Upcoming Events
There are plenty more events upcoming this week with the Year 9 Parent Consultation Evening (please make appointments on School Cloud as per the letter sent) and also the Les Miserables visit.
Year 11 mock marking concludes and the week after next, we will have the results day. Well done to Year 11s for your positive engagement – keep working hard!
5 Staffing Updates
I am pleased to confirm that we have appointed a number of staff this week to join us next academic year in particular in Geography, Science and English. Please welcome staff in due course
Finally, I hope that you have a restful and enjoyable weekend. It is good to see the nights drawing out and I hope the weather improves to match!
God bless you all at this time
